The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) is the world’s largest association for the language industry. As a non-profit organization, they provide resources, education, knowledge and research for thousands of global companies. GALA members are companies that specialize in language services or technologies, including translation vendors, localization service providers, interpretation companies, globalization consultants, and language technology developers. Welocalize is a member of GALA.
AMTA is an association dedicated to anyone interested in the translation of languages using computers in some way. This includes people with translation needs, commercial system developers, researchers, sponsors, and people studying, evaluating, and understanding the science of machine translation (MT) and educating the public on important scientific techniques and principles. IAMT is the leading organization of the three regional associations for machine translation. The regional organizations are the Association for Machine Translation in the Americas (AMTA), the European Association for Machine Translation (EAMT) and the Asia-Pacific Association for Machine Translation (AAMT).
